Tomorrow is Student Weekend! Please join us as we celebrate with students serving in all areas of the church. We will be in Philippians and discuss what it means to magnify Jesus in our life. We will also be recognizing our 2019 graduates and celebrating the baptism of Mason Combs at the 11am service.
Wanted to update people on resources available for those affected by the tornados. Please share with those you know. Don’t forget the Brookville Optimist Club is selling sugar waffles at the local IGA tonight and tomorrow 1-8pm for donations to be given to victims from Brookville affected by the tornado. Finally we have Kaylee Mundhenk and Megan Lovett organizing a garage sale next Tuesday, June 11 8am-6pm & Wednesday, June 12 8am-4pm at the barn behind the church. Donations will be accepted on Monday, June 10th starting at 8am ONLY. We CANNOT accept early donations at the church as the building is being used for other activities over the weekend. ALL proceeds will given to the Brookville residents affected by the tornados to the fund the church has created. If you cannot make it and would like to contribute, you can donate here online. https://theridge.ccbchurch.com/goto/giving
Wanted to update everyone on some of the things happening and available in our community for those affected by the tornado as we know them tonight. The fire department/CERT is no longer deploying out volunteers. We ask that if you hear of needs in our community you private message us or call the church office at 833-6306 and we will do our best to help them out. Brookville students (and anyone available) will meet FRIDAY MORNING at 9am and can help with clean up. They will meet in the stadium parking lot to walk back thru Terrace Park homes and help others! Bring a broom or a rake if you have one. If you don’t, no worries, your hands will do (wear gloves due to broken glass!). We don’t discriminate....adults, past grads, and middle schoolers welcome too! The old firehouse is no longer accepting or giving out donations. They have shared the donations with other groups that are in need throughout the Miami Valley as well as local groups such as Shepherd’s Hands and FISH. Shepherd’s Hand Food Pantry will have a special event this Thursday, 6/6 from 6-8pm for residents of Brookville affected by the tornado. Picture ID will need to be shown to verify residency. The Clothes Pin trailer will also be on site with clothing available to pick up. Brookville Schools will be hosting a pickup night this Thursday, June 6th. See picture below for details. The Ridge Church is hosting a community garage sale to help raise money for the recent victims of the tornadoes. ALL proceeds will go to individuals and families directly impacted by the tornadoes. Set-up will be 6/10 ONLY at the Ridge barn. The sale will run 6/11 8am-6pm and 6/12 8am-4pm. We are looking for as much help and support as we can get!!! We will need donations from the community and anyone who is willing to lend a hand at the sale would be great! Please drop off any donations on 6/10 ONLY to The Ridge barn. If you need to make accommodations to drop off earlier contact Kaylee Jarvis Mundhenk or Megan Miracle-Lovett Please help us spread the word and share! Thank you!
We know these last two weeks have been difficult for all. Our children have also shared in this trial and we want to give them a day when they can get away, relax, and enjoy the creation of outside that God has made for them! So with that being said, we invite your kids ages 8-18 to take a break from their routine and come to our annual Kids Outdoor Day, this Saturday, June 8th from 9-3pm. Lunch is provided, prizes will be given, but most of all a good time enjoying the great outdoors like archery, fishing, animals, Brookville Fire Department and Montgomery County Sheriff Department doing activities, and more! Be sure to register on our website, www.theridgechurch.net. Cost is only $5 per child. IF YOU RESIDE IN BROOKVILLE AND YOUR HOME WAS IN THE AFFECTED AREAS BY THE TORNADO, YOUR REGISTRATION FEE IS WAIVED. Check out this video showing you just some of the fun! https://click.email.vimeo.com/?qs=0cd87dba4fa640b2f284ac8fbcd348c5def291f8008f05806debe488acf6e7bf238007f79d5234e002651438c710eac9a0054bd21ef3d397d40f91ef0ace1b27
We live for Him. Today and everyday. Let’s remember that in these tragic moments He is reminding us to seek Him.
Our worship team sang this song and truly is a reminder that only “In Christ Alone” can we make it in this world and find our hope!
Today Pastor Rollie shared an update on how our church opened our doors and loved on people in their time of need this week. He reminded us that just like the meteorologists said to get to our “safe spot” we need to remember that our true “safe spot” is in Christ. He also shared very practical ways of how we loved one another, served one another, and some stories of how God shielded many through this tornado and came together as the body.
This was the scene this morning at The Ridge as we began breaking things down and getting reset for services tomorrow. Many hands helped pack items into totes for future distribution, Shepherd’s Hand Food Pantry received many donations to distribute, we had teams go out and deliver food and snacks, and then we had many help clean and reset everything. If you are still interested in serving, we encourage you to report to the Firehouse on Upper Lewisburg Salem Rd at 9am on Sunday, June 2nd to be deployed. Please wear work boots or gym shoes. Bring work gloves and safety glasses. If you don’t have those items, they will provide them. We strongly encourage you to report there to be deployed instead of going out on your own so they can create teams and tell you where the greatest need may be. NEITHER location is accepting any donations!! Please redirect to Trotwood, Harrison Twp, Beavercreek, West Milton, Laura, and Celina. We are so grateful, but we have more than enough and have been sharing with those communities as well. Finally, if you would like to make a monetary contribution, 100% will be given to those in Brookville directly affected. You can donate here https://theridge.ccbchurch.com/goto/giving We would love to invite you to worship with us tomorrow at either service at 9:15 or 11. It’s been a long week and we are all tired, but we encourage you to come and get spiritually renewed and refreshed with God’s word alongside us!! We are #brookvillestrong
These are just some of the photos we captured as people were dropping off, picking up to distribute, as well as what was available to people as they came in with needs to refresh, shower, eat, and just rest for a moment. We CANNOT thank everyone enough for what love you have shown in a very real and practical way!!!
We are beyond grateful and thankful for all of the blessings that have been bestowed upon our town of Brookville. We are just overwhelmed with the generous donations. At this time, we are no longer accepting physical donations, but if you would like to make a monetary contribution, 💯 of money given, will be disbursed to those affected directly by the tornado in Brookville. You can donate online here. https://theridge.ccbchurch.com/goto/giving Again, THANK YOU is just not sufficient to express the love and care poured out by so many truly being the hands and feet of Jesus.
We are so thankful to Champine Photography taking Mother’s Day photos for us and allowing us to give them as a gift to each family. If you missed picking yours up, stop by the Welcome Desk this weekend. In the meantime, here are a few to enjoy!
To conclude our week of prayer for law enforcement officers we took time at each service today to pray as a congregation and had anyone who has been or is currently serving in law enforcement stand while we prayed for them.
Today we had the privilege to witness the testimony and baptism of Bob Reherman. God has been working mightily in his life but especially since January when he attended the men’s summit. He has been attending men’s group and doing a bible study with 3-4 other men on Monday evenings as well. There is something to be said about being in God’s word especially with others, really digging in and discussing and studying it together. Doing life together. We pray that as you watch his testimony video below you see and hear the transforming power that only Christ can have on and in your life! https://click.email.vimeo.com/?qs=67959caa7e4fc751ec7f69c93e38ae894c389c6fb1b85c9be795145ebce6c0ebd3b5855a4bb7709d2e88ba6d749f2089933e98da151206bee2c5daeb01e037b8
This week we began a week of intentional prayer for law enforcement officers who put their lives on the line for each one of us every day. We encourage you to be praying for these specific local law agencies each day. If you personally know some officers, please pray for them by name and we encourage you to invite them to worship alongside you this weekend as we will be praying for them during each service.
Today we had the privilege to be witness to a powerful baptism and testimony as shared by Julie Boone. Please check out her story as best told by her. “For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift —” Ephesians 2:8
Please join us in celebrating the public profession of faith by Julie Boone as she gets baptized at the 9:15am service tomorrow morning.
Last night 78 people joined us to participate in Secret Church for an intense time of bible study led by David Platt via simulcast. We joined alongside over 50,000 people worldwide studying from 7pm-1:30am about prayer, fasting, and the pursuit of God. We also were granted the privilege to pray specifically for Somalis in East Africa who must be in secret and risk their lives every day to be a follower of Jesus. It was truly a precious time of bible study and prayer going through the entire bible and seeing how God desires us to have a relationship with Him every moment of every day. Check out https://radical.net/about-secret-church/ for more info.
It's not too late to join us this Friday, April 26th as we take part in the live simulcast of Secret Church. What is that?? Check out this video and see the description below. It's an intense time of worship alongside each other as we will be studying under David Platt who will be teaching on "Prayer, Fasting, and the Pursuit of God." Many people in the world must study in private, hidden away and we have the privilege to study anytime, anywhere we like. That night, we will study like many in the world desire and crave to do.....it is designed to mimic "house church" and the purpose is two-fold: to come together as the global church in pryaer for persecuted Christians across the world and to take part in an intense study of God's Word. Please plan on staying as long as possible and there will be no childcare available. Fellowship will begin at 6p.m. and the simulcast will begin at 7p.m. and last until approximately 1a.m. If coming early, please bring a snack to share. The workbook for that evening does cost $10 and can be picked up that evening if you haven't already. Please bring your bible as well. We will see you Friday night.
He is Risen indeed!!! Death could not hold Him! May we all celebrate Jesus Christ this Resurrection Day!!!
Please join us this Friday night at 6pm as we worship and take communion together on the day our Savior selflessly gave up His life for us all.

Our youth doing a skit (of course with a hint of humor) to reiterate Brian’s message.
Our youth led worship this weekend as well.
Normally our elders pray before each service and today the students prayed. Luke Middlestetter, senior, prayed before the 11am service.
